About Anupama
One with the infinite reality
Better health, flexibility and fitness and peace of mind, are natural byproducts of the teachings.

Anupama started the practice of yoga nearly 20 years ago, while she lived in the United States. On her return to India in 2007, she continued her practice at The Yoga Institute at Santacruz in Mumbai, the oldest yoga center in the world. Here she went on to become a certified teacher.

To deepen her knowledge and understanding of this ancient Indian science of healing and spirituality, she trained in various forms of Yoga including Hatha, Kriya, Kundalini, Iyengar and Vinyasa seeking learning from famed Gurus.

Her search continued into the domain of meditation and spirituality, and she started to practice at the Sattva Yoga Academy at Rishikesh in India where she delved deeper into Vedic and Tantric yoga as handed down through the Babaji tradition. She has completed over 700 hours of teacher training and is an RYS 500 hour certified yoga teacher.  She is also an avid student of Vedanta, as taught by Swami Parthasarthy.

Anupama’s philosophy guides her class structure, which are integrative practices of Kriya, Kundalini, Hatha, Pranayama, Mantra and Laya practices which together take one to a transcendental state. She believes that the ultimate purpose of any being is to realize the Self and be one with the infinite reality. Each teaching is guided by this goal.

Anupama believes that the aim of yoga is to keep evolving on the path to the Self. Her teaching style is personalized to suit each individual’s growth path. Better health, flexibility and fitness and peace of mind, are natural byproducts of the teachings.
